Youth Voices Poetry Contest – Aug 2020

The theme of this month’s contest is “identity.” We want to know, what makes you… you? Whether your medium is slam, free verse, ballad, lyrical, acrostic, haiku (or other) we want to hear from you!

Terms & Conditions: *All entries to the contest must be received by midnight on August 31st, 2020. All entrants must be under 18 to enter. Adult submissions are not accepted. Please fill out the information on this page to enter. You information is not valid until clicking “submit.” If you wish to submit a second poem, you must fill out the form a second time. Limit 2 entries per participant. By entering this content, you confirm that your entry is an original work of authorship, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. (Basically, no plagiarism guys!) The finalists of the contest will have their poems featured across the Social+Justice+You website and social media, and the winners’ poems will be submitted to at least one upcoming print publication.

By entering this contest you understand and agree that Social Justice You shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry and chosen name for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, you will be disqualified and you shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SJY from and against any suit.
